SEMINAR DETAILS

The International Seminar on Nanotechnology, Nanomaterials, and Devices (ISNND) is an on-site only annual seminar dedicated to the latest advancements in nanoscale science and engineering. It brings together leading researchers and engineers from across the globe to explore and exchange insights on breakthroughs in:​

  • Applied chemistry and catalysis technology
  • Computational and quantum complex systems, quantum materials, and high energy for materials and quantum systems
  • Photonics, nanoplasmonics, and sensor technology
  • Metallurgy and mineral processing
  • Polymers, composites, and nano-bio applications
  • Nanosynthesis, functional material, and its applications
  • Electrochemistry, energy storage, and energy conversion
  • Green and sustainable nanotechnology
  • Biomass, bioproduct, and biomedical engineering
  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and materials informatics

Over four days, participants present their work in talks and join panel discussions on different topics. Keynote and invited speakers, including leading experts in the field, share broad insights and future directions. Smaller breakout sessions allow attendees to explore new developments in nanotechnology, nanomaterials, and devices in more detail.

Selected papers will be published in Jurnal Kimia Valensi (Q4, Scopus), Jurnal Sains Materi Indonesia (JSMI)*, and Indonesian Journal of Computing, Engineering, and Design (IJoCED)*. All manuscripts submitted for publication in Jurnal Kimia Valensi will undergo a standard peer-review process in accordance with the journal’s guidelines. Please note that the Article Processing Charge (APC) is separate from the seminar registration fee and is the responsibility of the authors.

The 3RD ISNND 2026 will begin with a series of specialized workshops delivered by distinguished lecturers and experts in their respective fields. The workshops will be held at 26 October 2026.

International Scientific Journal Writing

  • Learn from real-world experience in identifying research topics, research gaps, novelty, and potential impact.
  • One-on-one practical mentoring sessions. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, research ideas, and submission ready manuscript drafts.
  • Practical hacks for using AI tools to improve scientific writing, enhance manuscript quality, and create effective scientific visuals.

Sputtering Technology 101

  • Introduction to sputtering technology and locally developed systems, covering basic principles and applications.
  • Laboratory visit and live demonstration, providing participants with an opportunity to explore the sputtering facilities.
  • Hands-on session: participants can try synthesizing their own samples using the sputtering system under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Advanced Nanomechanical Characterization

  • Introduction to nanoindentation basic principles and applications
